How do I deflate my Intex one person air mattress?
It has a one way valve, I may be dumb but do I pull the valve thing up to make it let the air out-it seems not too easy and I don't want to rip my new air mattress.
It's supposed to be "not easy" to pop out the valve, otherwise it might release by accident when you don't want it to.
The best way to flatten an air mattress once you have opened the valve (so you can pack it away or carry it) is to kneel on the ground and start rolling it up from the opposite end of where the valve is. As you flatten and roll it, tuck the rolled part under your knees and press the air out, keep rolling and tucking. When you have the whole thing pressed flat and rolled tight, then close the valve so air can't get back it. If there is still a little air left in it, you can suck it out through the valve before closing it.
