Mattress Protector Amazing Protection for your Mattress with Advanced Micro-Fiber Technology. Protect the Sleep Environment. Scientific studies have revealed that bed mattresses can harbor millions of dust mites. The dander from these parasites is the leading cause for air borne allergens only second to pollen. The Keetsa Protective Case for your mattress creates a barrier between you and some of the unpleasant organisms that often become resident in unprotected mattress. How This Works: The advanced micro-fibers in our cases actually create a barrier between you, the dust mites and the allergens they cause. The Case completely envelops the entire mattress (all six sides); a zipper allows you to put it on/take it off. Because the fabric is made of micro-fibers, it’s still ‘breathable’ so you don’t get the sweat-effect that often comes with old fashioned plastic cases. The micro-fiber fabric is also water resistant and washable. Other Key Facts: We highly recommend the use of The Keetsa Protective Cases as soon as you buy a new mattress. The protector’s sides are stretchable and can fit up to 14” loft mattress. Physicists and physicians! Can a soft enough mattress raise blood pressure and kill a person?

Physicists and physicians! I woke up this morning, noticing my bed was moving slighly to my heartbeat...! I had moved some things around the room, my bedframe was against a metal-framed bookcase (lightweight bookcase). The whole bedframe-bookcase had a slight rhythmic vibration in time with my heartbeat when I lay perfectly still on my bed. There was an empty water glass that vibrated in time with my heartbeat.

As I lay there, it occurred to me that the bedframe/bookcase/my skeletal structure was a closed system, and my heartbeat would be the energy driving that system.

Question: Given a surface to lay on, (or substance to be immersed in) of sufficient resilience, isn't it possible to slow down a person's heartbeat enough to raise their blood pressure and kill them? My premise is that under the proper circumstances, one's surroundings become a closed system into which a person's heartbeat is perpetually adding work...?

Help me out with this.

If your mattress smothers you to the point it blocks your airway, or your blood circulation...

Otherwise I would say no, your mattress will drain your energy to the point it kills you. And trust me, I had a lot of practice.
