We are looking to get a mattress for a crib - the Colgate Classica III.?

It is made of foam, and someone told me that in humid places, like florida, it gets moldy and starts to smell quickly. Has anyone experienced it?

I'm not sure on this mattress but any mattress over 120 coils is supposed to be best for baby, and I am sure if you take care of the mattress and your home it should be fine.
