Ever put a queen mattress on a metal frame without the boxspring?

How do I support it on the frame?

I had the same problem. To get to my third floor you had to walk straight up one step then turn left up the rest of the steps. So theres no way to get a box spring to bend like that. Take off the thin cover thing on the bottom of it, you'll see the boards. Take off the 2 longer boards on the sides. The long middle board will still be connected to all the small boards. Then you can bend it, do what ever you need to get it upstairs. Just hammer the long boards back on with the nails thats already there. TADA!
