I need help in a career field that I don't know the name of ?

What exactly what would you call those professions and what would I need to major in college ect.
They were all magazine editors or editorial assistants. You'd want to study English, journalism, maybe communications. Also the subject of the type of mags you want to edit, such as fashion and politics. A business course in marketing would be good, too.
You will want to try for an internship at a magazine when you're in college.
