Can I use a twin size mattresss on a full sized bed?
I currently have a twin size bunk bed and I wanted to buy a really nice full sized loft bed. The problem is that I just got a new comforter set and a 2" mattress topper both twin size. They are both really nice and I would wish to keep them and my mattress. Would it be possible if I used my old mattress, mattress topper, and bedding set on a full size loft bed. I suppose you can put a small mattress on a larger frame. But, I would not do it.
A twin mattress is 39" wide. A full size mattress is 54" wide. That is a 15 inch difference in size. It is going to be hard to get out of bed when the mattress does not reach the side bed rails. And, it could be dangerous to keep the bed to one side of the bed frame because that leaves you 15 inches of space to fall into the empty space.
