type of wood and size for headboard?
I want to build my own headboard for my queen size bed. I'm not sure what kind of wood it would be, or how big to get it? I know i would have to measure my bedframe, but should it be the same size, or a little bigger?
Go to some furniture store and take a tape measure. look around and get ideas. The type and quality of wood depends on your pocket. i would use maple or cherry both look great and can be found in most lumber yards. If you have tons of $$$ Look into exotic woods.
