Teen and child share room. Ideas?

I'm 16. My sister's nearly 6. We share a room which is quite small with us both in there but still a decent sized room. We have two walls each - hers are one white and one baby pink with disney princess wall stickers while mine are one white and one where the alcoves are black and the chimney breast is wallpapered with black and white stylish paper.

How about turning it into a 30's - 40's type room? Black, white, and pink - add in boas, dangling beads (shiny) from 2nd hand light fixtures that you painted white. Add in fames, maybe a "makeup bench", a black and white shag area rug or two next to each of your beds. This could turn out to be very "princessy" for your sister, but grown up for you.
