Bought a toddler bed last night now I'm nervous about getting my son our of my bed tonight!?
My son is 19 months. He slept in his crib for six months from birth, then he got sick one day and I let him sleep with me and well.. that's where he stayed. I could never get him back in his crib. Well last night we bought him a toddler bed (cherry, sleigh, $60 at walmart! It's great!) and tonight I'm going to try and make the transition.. any tips or ideas to help make it smoother? I got him a new sheet set and matching accesories to make it a little more exciting and was thinking about attaching the aquarium from his crib? What do you guys think?
Well, if there is any room in your bedroom to put the bed then i would start off with that.... then gradually move it until it is in his bedroom... it is very hard to transition a child from your bed and into a completely different room... i would also recommend placing him in the bed for naps to see how he adjusts to that.... the nap time will really set a tone on how he will be at night.
