Got a new mattress set, waayy too tall. Any thoughts make it shorter? Please..?
Got a new mattress set at such a good deal couldn't pass up. But, it is sooo tall. We have a sleigh bed frame, comes to chest level. Quite a chore to get into. Don't like the thought of a stool. Can't return it. Help....thank you.
Any thoughts on modifying the bed frame to rest directly on the floor, any drawbacks to that?
The height of a mattress in a bed depends on the height the mattress is installed at in the bed frame. If it is possible, set the mattress lower by lowering the mattress support down toward the floor. You may even have to locate them on the legs of the frame.
Another method is to lower the height of the frame by cutting the legs shorter. Just make sure they are all exactly the same length and that the frame is going to look good after you do it, because you can't reverse it.
