Single hook bed rails?

I was given a headboard & footboard for my queen bed, but I cannot find rails to support the boxspring & mattress. The metal frame has a female single-hook slot protruding from each corner. Double-hook rails don't fit, and neither, of course, do the bolt-on rails. Unfortunately I cannot adapt the head&footboards. Any ideas on where I could get what I need?
Cheers!

There are metal bed rail assemblies, that offer a side rail, with an "angle" welded at each end of the rail. The angle can be screwed to both the headboard and footboard. I suggest you predrill a pilot hold in each bed part, to prevent splitting of the post/panel. This type of bed rail assembly can normally be found at a mattress shop, or at least they may be able to order one for you. All else fails, purchase a couple pieces of 2" x 2" angle iron, cut it 1 to 2 inches longer than the length of your mattress, and from the scrap drop off, cut 4 pcs of 6" long pieces of angle. Drill some holes through one wing of the angle, then have the small angle pieces welded to the end of the long side rails. As with the manufactured bed rail assembly noted above, just screw the end angles, to the headboard and footboard. I recommend taking at least 4 to 6 pieces of 1 x 4 pine (without knots) and use as bed slats across the width of the bed to help support your box springs
