Need help with a headboard and foot board question?
I have a large sleigh headboard and footboard that I just purchased. The problem is it requires a two slotted bed frames at both the head and foot. My question is can I use the metal hooking frames? And do you think it will be sturdy enough for a large sleigh type headboard? The footboard will be fine as it is not the sleigh type. The orginal bedrails were wooden with hooks and I have priced them out at around $200.00. If I can get away with the metal rails that would be fine. Any input is appreciated.
i have a bed similar to that. i dont think they will work. those head/foot boards are heavey... i dont think it will support the weight..i think they will bend...and after getting a nice bed.. do you want to take the chance of ruining either end because you didnt spend the 200 to do it right.
do it right really...spend the money for the correct rails.
you might be able to get away with it but i think you will end up with damage..
