would you have a garage sale if you wanted to get rid of a futon, full size headboard and frame,and queen size
headboard and frame? Would you also go through your clothes and your children's clothes and put the stuff you never wear out there and would you put the hundreds of toys your little ones have out there too?
Any garage sale tips?
I also have a play pen and a coffee table or two I should get rid of.
If you are going to get rid of toys and clothes along with your furniture then having a garage sale is a great idea. Furniture and bright colored things bring in alot of people. Make these items visible. What you need to do first is get everything sorted out and priced. Mark things reasonably so you can get rid of them. Hang blouses and shirts and fold jeans and shorts on a table. Set all of this up the night before you give the sale and cover up with a tarp. Next make some nice,neat signs on bright posterboard. I think this is very important to do because if I see a messy sign I usually will not bother stopping or chasing the sale. Set these signs out late the night before or early that morning. Go to the bank and get money to make change with. It does take work but if you do it right you can make some nice pocket change.
