There are handwritten signs for cheap new mattresses all around my town. What's up?
I've seen countless signs for really cheap new "in bag" mattress sets all over my town. They're cheap, handwritten signs stapled to utility poles, stuck in lawns near intersections, and many other places. I've also seen ads in the local newspapers. No company information is given. They advertise a king set for about $200 or so.
Does anyone know what the gig is? Is this like those "white van" speakers that actually suck? My guess is that the handwritten signs are made to make things look like it's an individual getting rid of the mattresses, but I don't know.
Any tips? Stolen?
