Do I really need two box springs with a CAL King bed?

I ordered a bed (Cal King Pillowtop Mattress, 1 low profile box spring, & bed frame) from a major online retailer. Day of delivery, the delivery guy calls & tells me there is a problem with my order: there is only one box spring & there needs to be two. Also says he will not deliver & will not set up without another one. Is it really necessary? Online retailer states that I must buy another box spring & will be charged another delivery fee, even though nothing has been delivered!!! Help!!!

California King beds should come with the two box springs. I really don't think you should have to pay for another, it should be in the total cost of the bed.
You need two box springs because a king-sized box spring would not fit into a house or around corners and through doorways. So they make it into two box springs so that they are more manageable.
