I'm purchasing a Used Serta Mattress, box spring and Leather headboard/sleigh for $900 is that a good deal?
I'm a student on a tight budget and buying a Queen Sized Used Serta Mattress (the tag says that the designed is called 'Oaklyn'), a Box Spring, a Posturpedic cushion to go over the mattress (I saw online that these go for about $200 for a queen), and a Very nice coffee-colored Leather headboard/sleigh. Do you think this is a good deal and does anyone know the retail prices of these items (such as the Serta Oaklyn mattress, I couldn't find it online). I was at a mattress store yesterday and a mattress/boxspring combo runs anywhere from $600-1200. I just want to ensure I'm not getting ripped off here. Is there a way to verify the price on the mattress before I purchase in case they don't have a receipt? Also is there a way to verify date of purchase to see if it is as 'New' as he claims? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!!
Is it possible to buy everything BUT the mattress? I don't know about buying a "used" mattress.....you never know how clean someone is. And you can buy them cheap enough, depending where you shop.
