Can i use a slatted bed base for a spring mattress?
i bought a bed from ikea that came with a slatted bed base. They are pieces of wood about 3 inches apart across the bed frame. Can I put a spring mattress on there or should I put a piece of plywood on it? it just seems the springs won't do anything inbetween the gaps of the slatted bed base. Thanks for your answers.
I have spring mattresses on all our Ikea beds in the house and they are just fine. Ikea sells the spring mattresses.
