Would a queen size bed (mattress and box spring) fit in a GM Express or Ford Econoline cargo van?
You can answer your own question by taking two measurements. The width of the van's interior and the width of the mattress. The mattress is 8ft long and 5ft wide You will have to take out the rear seats and cut out the rear wheel wells or cut some notches in the mattress. If you have an extended van you can Build a frame for the box springs to sit on that will clear the wheel wells. This will give you storage space under the bed. you need to measure from the engine cover and the back of the seats to the back doors. Be sure to slide the seats back as far as they will go. Remember you need a minimum of 8 1/2 feet.of space, Other wise you will be up against the seats or the rear door's may not shut. Take my advice. Go look at a good Conversion van.You will be time and money ahead.
