buy a new mattress set or not? for a toddler...?
MIL bought a brand new mattress and box spring for my son. I didnt have room for it at the time so it was being kept in their garage until we could get it. The problem is that they smoke in the garage and now i feel the mattress is ruined. it is covered by a sheet while being stored, but still. is there any way to clean this so it will be safe for my son or should i just get a new set. It will be covered with a mattress protector and sheets when he is sleeping on it. what do ya'll think. thanks.
I personally hate smoke and keep my girls far from it! So if you can afford it, buy another. If not I would try cleaning it with one of those upholstery cleaning machines then cover like you said with a mattress pad and sheets.
