What is a good alternative to a PVC, polyeurethane filled crib mattress?
I cannot afford an expensive organic mattress. Should I use an old one that has off gassed and cover it with a mattress pad or is there another kind of mattress that is less dangerous but not expensive? Is there a way that I could make a safe mattress myself?
Under the new, stricter guidelines set by the U.S. government last year, poly foam matts are safer than ever. I apprieciate and understand your need to be green but the poly is still the most effective and reasonable option.
