Has anyone tried refacing a bathroom cabinet - (do it your self???)?
I have an oak bathroom vanity cabinet that needs some "refreshing". We cannot afford to replace it at this time, but I have looked around a Lowes and Home Depot and seeing new cabinet doors and drawer fronts, hardware and laminate sheets that don't seem too difficult to glue on the front and sides (after you cut them to fit). Has one tried this on their own and were you happy with the results? I have no experience doing this watsoever - but it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult or need to purchase special tools?

I would buy a 1/4" sheet of oak plywood and rip it the size needed to face the cabinet front. you can glue and nail them on, Then stain and putty nail holes. Then stain the drawers and doors. Then install them.
