I can't seem to find a high rise bed?
So, I’m getting ready to replace all my bedroom furniture and I currently have my bed frame sitting on 6 inch plastic risers I found at bed bath and beyond. For my new bedroom set I would like to find a King size bed that sits 6" to 8" higher then a normal bed set would so I can eliminate the plastic risers without loosing any height. I would like a Head board, and a footboard would also be nice. I will also need two nightstands that are high enough to match the bed (36 to 40 inches) in height.
My problem is I can't find a retailer and/or manufacture that makes/sells a bed that fits my needs. So the root of my question is where I can find one. I have tried the fallowing Google searches that bared no results.
*King Size High Bed
*King Size tall bed
*High rise bed

I don't think you find such furniture unless you purchase some antique items. Of course, then they won't be king or queen size.
My wife wanted a higher bed but I just built a box out of plywood and two by fours to raise the mattress up. I then attached the head board to the back of the box.
We didn't worry about the fact that the night stands were a little lower than "normal" relative to the bed.
