how do I install a vanity light with no anchor?
I just removed an outdated long strip vanity light that was secured on either end to the studs. I am about to install my new vanity light and it has a circular base and there is nothing to anchor it with, the center of the wall has no studs. Any help would be appreciated...
home depot carries the round electrical boxes for old construction, cut your 4" hole. run your wiring through the back of the box, then mount it. the box has tabs that would pull against the sheetrock when you tighten the screws. That should make it secure. I have used them several times when installing lights.
