How long does perfume potency last?
I have about 8 bottles of expensive perfume but our office recently went "scent free" due to some people with allergies, so I can't wear it every day anymore. Do you know how long good perfume's potency lasts if the bottles are on my vanity and not used often? Thanks.
I have some perfumes that are 8+ years old. Most are perfectly fine, but one or two have lost some of their depth.
I say a good quality perfume can last a few years or longer.
According to Perfume Originals, it also depends on storage. The ideal storage conditions are room temperature out of direct sunlight. Do not place near extreme heat or light. Extreme heat may cause a fragrance to oxidize or change its odor. When stored properly a perfume will last almost indefinitely.
