How can I get a queen ensemble base too big for the stairs up over my 2nd storey verandah in North-West Melb?

Just moved into a new place. Got the mattress up the stairs, but the base isn't flexible enough to bend around. Is there some sort of lifting service I can utilise for about $50? I'd rather not resort to getting a mate around and using a few ropes.
