do i need to buy a pram liner/mattress?
By that do you mean the footmuff? If your baby is due in the winter like mine was then you would need the footmuff just to make it a bit more snug as when you put it into pram mode its quite a big open space for a small baby to lie in. Once your baby is older and you change into a pushchair then the footmuff is optional but I use the base of it (i unzip the top layer as it is too warm for it at the moment) and baby sits on top of the bottom layer. You dont need to do this but I find that it keeps the straps in place and just makes life easier for when you are lifting them in and out of the pram on a regular basis. I dont know if you've noticed but the shoulder straps are not attached to the backrest of the pushchair, they just attach directly to the lap strap which can make it awkward to fasten your baby in so when the footmuff is in you can feed the straps though the holes and they stay in the right position. I dont know if that makes a lot of sense to you but it will do when you start trying to use the pram as a pushchair!
