Are mattress companies a hoax?

Recently, I went to sleepys's (a mattress store). I liked a Simmons mattress. It was part of the Shakespear line. They told me they would give me an additional 20% off the product if I found it cheaper somewhere else. I can't find the "Shakespear Line" anywhere not even online and have jumped to the conclusion that it only exhists at Sleepy's. I was just wondering what other people thought of this and what their experiences were when shopping for mattresses. It seems shady.

Some Mattress lines are given different names for different retailers, it is not a hoax by them doing that. Is it illegal , no it is not, is it ethical, I don't think so. Just remember if you don't feel comfortable buying from someone , then don't/
