How much should it approximately cost to move across town?
I have a twin-sized mattress, a light drawer, a table, and three "garbage-bags" of stuff that I need to move across town. This totals up to approximately 800lb.
Approximately how much should it cost me to move this amount of stuff across town for a distance of approximately 2mi? I'm thinking about using a full-service moving company.
I thought about doing it myself or with a friend, but I figured that I'd probably have to take a day off work, risk getting injured with heavy items, etc. -- to such an extent that it might even make more since to give away almost everything via "take it yourself and it's free."
What should it cost? Is my guess $200-ish reasonable?
