Do you use blankets and/or a postioner when you put your infant to bed?

The American SIDS Institute website says:

I had bumper pads in my children's crib -they do not pose a risk -they just need to be securely tied to the crib railings if they are there's no risk.

And I've also used a sleep positioner and a swaddling blanket-and so does my sister for her 10 mos old daughter.

There's lots of PARANOIA about SIDS-and not everything is true. No pillows-but not because of SIDS-because of suffocation. We should as moms be careful but not just go absolutely nuts over it.
Make sure the sleep positioners are well set up and dont move.

As far as blankets-it depends on how old is your baby-if your baby is under 6 mos-swaddling is the way to go. And make sure it's a baby blanket and not very heavy.

And babies tend to kick out the blankets anyhow as they get older so make sure your baby's pj's are warm and the same with the heating in his room.
