will the springs on my sealy posturepedic get softer with time, i know the padding compresses?
how do the springs on these no flip mattresses differ from the old flip mattresses. i perfer the old
flip ones. also does anyone know where i could get,buy a new flip mattress. please answer all questions. i already tried a thicker bed pad and 2" memory foam and i can still feel the hard bed
and springs. the bed is only 4 months old and all ready has a groove or dip in it. the sealy i bought
in 85 was great but if i would have known how bad this one is i never would have bought it.not

looked and felt better than this new one.
July 1 2007. New fire law enacted. 1-sided mattresses have pretty much been the norm since and cheaper to build and pass fire test easier.
Most companies are still using 2-sided springs in 1-sided beds. NOTE (Pepsi challenge= lights off 99% of the people couldn't tell the difference.)
We prefer the old ones too bed we need to move on beds are not built like that anymore not even current 2 sided models.
It sounds like you have your mind made up, and if so you are barking up the wrong tree. Coil springs are not your problem. Cheap PU foam and cheap comfort layers are your groove / dip issues. I'm telling you this from 24 years experience and Consumer Reports as basically said the same thing.
A layer of memory foam 2" thick is not enough to keep you from feeling firm mattress. You will need to go thicker or my suggestion a soft talalay 3" mattress topper with http://www.stlbeds.com/articles/2009/04/13/what-is-ifd-or-initial-force-deflection/ low IFD or ILD.
Forget about the bed you bought in 1985 just like we have to forget that gas was under a buck in 1985 it will drive you crazy. LOL
